MS Project 2010 Timescale RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a project which starts mid-month (Aug) and therefore the first calendar month from project start is part of August and part of September and so on through the project.

I am trying to configure the timescale with 3 tiers with Years as top, Month Name as middle (Aug, Sep etc), and month from project start as bottom tier.

The timescale shows all of August as month1, all of September as month2 etc - however I want the timescale to correctly reflect how the project is set up.

Has anyone had a similar problem and how did they overcome the timescale issue - thanks

  • I start a reply and I realized I was wrong.. Indeed if you set the bottom tiers as month, choosing M1, M2 will take the project start date (ie 17 of august) and set M1 at the first day of the month of the project start date, thus M1 will start on August 1st and not 17th.

A solution would be to set the bottom tiers as weeks.

Maybe other experts will jump in to give another workaround.

    Hope this helps,
