I'm using expression encoder 4 SP2 Pro, with Osprey 700e HD capture card to capture a live video/audio from an SDI video source.
I'm using media services to stream in Multicast toward several Players (running a software similar to Windows media player)
Both Expression encoder and Windows Media services run on the same Server hardware with Windows server 2008 R2 Enterprise edition.
The Encoder is configured to push content to a publishing point.
The problem is that the stream plays on my players but the video is jerky from time to time (some times it freezes from few seconds then resumes).
I read in some posts that it is recommended to use a separate computer for the encoder, can this be the origin of my problem since I'm using same computer for
Expression encoder and Windows Media services? Note that this computer has 2 CPU (Xeon CPU
E5520) and 16GB of RAM.
