Event ID 10830 on MS Server 2016 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi Team,

We are seeing frequent error logs of event id 10830 on MS server in SCOM 2016 environment.

    Alert Details:

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

An alert couldn't be inserted to the database. This could have happened because  of one of the following reasons:

      - Alert is stale. The alert is generated by an MP recently deleted.
      - Database connectivity problems or database running out of space.
      - Alert received is not valid.

The following details should help to further diagnose:

Details: RuleId:a811dcbc-4c5b-d9de-592b-f01e17fc0e9a. HealthServiceId:1f6d89bd-c79a-75af-b09a-9e397d4af678. The INSERT statement conflicted with the FOREIGN KEY constraint "FK_Alert_BaseManagedEntity". The conflict occurred in database "OperationsManager", table "dbo.BaseManagedEntity", column 'BaseManagedEntityId'.
    The statement has been terminated

Please suggest what is the cause and possible solution for above alerts.

    Thanks & Regards,

    Abhinash Kumar

  • Hi Abhinash,

Based on my research, this may relate to MP “Active Directory Management Pack for Microsoft Windows Server 2008 and above”. Please check if this MP Is imported in the server. If yes, Disabled the following rules.

    DC_2008_has_failed_to_synchronize_with_its_replication_partner

    One_or_more_domain_controllers_may_not_be_replicating_For_2008

However, if the issue persists, please check the affected rule and its MP using command

    Get-SCOMRule -Id <GUID>

Please try the above steps and if any update, please let us know.

    Best regards.

    Crystal

Run the below sql query against OperationsManager DB:

select * from basemanagedentity where basemanagedentityid = '1f6d89bd-c79a-75af-b09a-9e397d4af678'

select * from rules where ruleid = 'a811dcbc-4c5b-d9de-592b-f01e17fc0e9a'

and disable this particular rule for the particular object
