  • Hi,

Your company IT department probably uses Group Policy to configure IE's settings. You should in the first instance contact them to provide you with a User Profile that allows your user account to disable the proxy.

For debugging/testing purposes you could use a tool like fiddler (http://telerik.com/fiddler ) to circumvent the company settings.

If you are familiar with sysinternals you could use procmon.exe to discover which program (most probably iexplorer.exe is resetting the proxy settings.)

    Regards.

  • Hi amoakostephen,

Firstly, if the computer is joined in domain and controlled by GP, we could not change it by ourselves. We could contact the IT.

Then we could open IE by use “run as administrator” and check automatically detect settings. The program that may have been downloaded that acted as the "administrator" and changed the proxy settings.

If it is your own use, we could try to do an update and then reset the Internet Explorer settings to check.

If the issue still insists, we could check the link below about the IT Technican suggestion.

Hope it will be helpful to you
