Website feature not working on some computers (IE10) RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

    We are getting reports that the property search on a recent website we have delivered is not working on some computers running IE10. Unfortunately we are unable to replicate any issues and I was wondering if it may be possible to get a few people here to just try it for us?

    The website in question is www.knightandrennie.com and if you click the search button (top right) and just hit the Find Properties button, you should go to a property listing page that looks like this:

    Would really appreciate your feedback on this.

    Many thanks

    Kevin

  • Hi,

    You are missing a slash in your form action.

    <form id="propertySearch" action="http://www.knightandrennie.comresults.php" method="GET" >

    You are using jQuery 1.72. We've had reports that this version causes issues when Compatibility Mode is used on Websites in IE10.

    follow the recommended upgrade path as recommended here http://www.modern.ie/en-us/report?url=http%3A//www.knightandrennie.com/results.php%3FbuyRent%3DSales%26office%3De%26beds%3D1%26minPrice%3D275000%26maxPrice%3D875000%26incSSTC%3DYes%26minRent%3D0%26maxRent%3D5000%26dateRange%3DNo

    You are using Google analytics, probably the IE10 users having issues have their google toolbar enabled and/or have IE10's Tracking Protection enabled.

    these are the warning messages from the Script console of the IE Developer tool

    NTF.   IE10 on W8.   I'll try to remember to try W7 when I'm back there.
