Does Lync Support Nortel USB Devices? RRS feed

  • Question

  • My question is if the Nortel USB Headset is supported with Lync.

The headset appears to work, but there are issues with regards to not being able to change the volume.

So anyone attending Lync meetings are too loud for this headset.

Volume is set to the lowest.

Audio Device Settings under Options showed Headset USB Audio Device.  However, I cannot change the Speaker or anything other setting.  If I change this to Custom Device, then I can change some settings.  But not using the USB Headset device.

Can you please confirm if Nortel USB headsets are supported with Lync.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.  CarolO.

  • A list of phones and headset devices qualified for Lync can be found here: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/lync/gg278164

For anything not on that list your mileage may vary. It sounds like the headsets you're using fall into this category where not all the Lync features will work properly.
