i run the installer on my computer i have windows vista home premium an it loads all the way to the end pretty much then it just wont finnish it check the task manager an it says its still running but ive left it for hours an it still wont finnish installingWednesday, March 4, 2015 6:59 AM

Try uninstalling all traces of the program.
and reinstall from
https://www.java.com/en/download/help/windows_manual_download.xml
If this fails try running the install file as an admin if you still recieve no progress with this installation check the compatibility mode of the program by going into the properties edit these so they are compatible with your system.

uninstall the old version using java uninstall tools and download the latest from Java site and try to install back

Download newest Setup program from software website.
Specific software installation failure might be caused by application compatibility or faulty package.
