want to lock touchpad when typing RRS feed

  • Question

  • I've recently updated my Inspiron 1525 from Vista to Windows 7 and would like to be able to lock my touchpad when I'm typing and/or when my wireless mouse is in use.  I've gone through Control Panel & updated drivers, etc.... It seemed very easy with Vista...  I'm sure I'm missing something obvious.

  • Hi 09left,

This feature is controlled by touchpad driver. According to Dell's website, only Windows Vista touchpad driver is available. Please contact Dell support to see if there is any update for Windows 7 available. If not, you can try installing the Windows Vista driver in the compatibility mode and see if it works.

    Regards,

    Linda
