  • Question

  • It doesn't show in the Programs and Features, so I can't uninstall directly.

  • Hi Bob May,

    The main issue is that Internet Explorer 11 on Windows 7 is corrupted and you want to reinstall it to fixit, right?
    Please take the following steps to have a troubleshoot.
    1. Download the Internet Explorer 11 packages from the link below.
    internet Explorer 11 for windows 7
    https://catalog.update.microsoft.com/v7/site/Search.aspx?q=internet%20Explorer%2011%20windows%207
    2.Open an administrator command line and run "FORFILES /P %WINDIR%\servicing\Packages /M Microsoft-Windows-InternetExplorer-*11.*.mum /c "cmd /c echo Uninstalling package @fname && start /w pkgmgr /up:@fname /quiet /norestart" to uninstall Interent Explorer 11. Restart the machine.
    3.Click the Internet Exploer 11 packages to install it again.

    "It doesn't show in the Programs and Features"
    Only the Internet Exploer 11 is not listed or all the programs are not listed?
    Please open an administrator command line and run "sfc /scannow" to check the health of system files.

    Best regards

  • Since the PC is very slow, you can try opening IE11 with no add-ons. To do, go to Start -> type Internet Explorer (No Add-ons) -> press Enter.

    Add-ons are small piece of programs that are added to software for additional functionalities. Usually, enabling them will slow down the software as loading it to memory takes time with additional programs.

    If the issue persists, you can uninstall IE11 as per the instructions shared by Meipo Xu.
