  • Question

  • I'm using Project Pro. no Project Server.

I moved the start of the project back 60 days to account for research, how can I update the tasks that start when the project starts?

  • zmag,

If you moved the start of the project (i.e. Project/Properties group/Project Information/Start Date) either forward or backward, your schedule should automatically move accordingly. That is, assuming you do not have any hard constraints on tasks and/or you have not actually started any tasks.

Otherwise you can go to Project/Schedule group/Move Project icon.

    Hope this helps.

In addition to the excellent advice from John, it sounds like you may be using Manually Scheduled tasks in your project.  If this is the case, click the Select All button to select all tasks in your project, and then click the Auto Schedule button in the middle of your Tasks ribbon.  This will reschedule every task in your project automatically.  Hope this helps.
