SLO takes 6 minutes to assign RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have implemented a System Center Service Manager SP1 and noticed that the SLO takes 6 minutes to assign:

    Incident
    Delay: 6 minutes

    Service Request without activities:
    Delay: 3 minutes

    Request for Service with activities:
    Delay: 6 minutes

Is there any way to reduce the time to 1 minute or less?

    Thanks,

  • Hi Roberto,
The average time for SLA is 2-3minutes, read this blog http://blog.scsmsolutions.com/2013/01/sla-in-scsm2012-part2-how-it-works/

  • Hi,

You can try to reduce Group Calculation Interval to default : 30 seconds :

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\System Center\2010\Common\GroupCalcPollingIntervalMilliseconds

If this isn't enough, you should probably use a dedicated workflow server. Check this out : http://blog.concurrency.com/infrastructure/service-manager-scalability-and-performance-tip-isolate-the-workflows/

  • Thanks for the information, but I can't see the "GroupCalcPollingIntervalMilliseconds" in the Service Manager Management Server (this is a Service Manager 2012 SP1 deployment).

This is a printscreen of regedit

  • Thanks Ayman,

But the average time for SLA in my Service Manager environment is always 6 minutes and I don't know why. I used the blog querys to troubleshoot the workflows and everything looks fine.
