  • Hello,

Base on this error, I think it’s not a Task Scheduler fault but the problem is with the .NET Application. I suggest ask in .NET forum for some idea.

  • Nope. In my case the Task Scheduler seems to have blown up. I got the same message after changing the Run As User. The Task has ran for months with no issue until the user change.

Changing the "...use the following user account." back to the original user allowed the task scheduler to start and complete the task. The task with offending user account never has a chance to start the program - task scheduler immediately exits with the "Recursion too deep. ..." error message.

  • Have you set the optional START IN folder? I had same issue and when I set that folder it works.
