  • To hide the admin tools, use:

User Configuration\Preferences\Control Panel\Start Menu  - then creat a new Windows Vista start menu and set Admin Tools as "Don't display..."

User Configuration\Policies\Administrative Templates\Start Menu and Task Bar\Prevent changes to Taskbar and Start Menu settings.

    To hide the C drive:

User Configuration\Policies\Administrative Templates\Windows Explorer\Hide these specified drive in My Computer.

  • The C drive piece worked great, thank you I over looked that.

As far as your tip goes on admin tools, I tried that before and it failed to work.  Thought maybe I missed something so I did what you explained and it still does not work.  Adminitrative tools is still showing
