Problem using Outlook 2003 with Win-7-prof-x64 RRS feed

  • Question

  • After I installed Office 2003 small business edition(incl. all updates) under win-7-prof-x64 Outlook 2003 starts and gives the following message: Your standard email-folder could not be opened . Outlook could not be started because no Outlook-file for sending and receiving messages could be found. For adding such a file like personel folder(.pst) do a doubleclick on the mailsymbol within systemkonfiguration. Even if I try to to add a personell folder within the systemkonfiguration it is not possible to create the folder and .pst-files.
Who has a tip how I will be able to handle this? Thanks in advance.

  • Your eMail folder by default is:

    C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook

Can you please list the contents of this folder?  Note that AppData is usually hidden.

If not in this folder, can you find the file Outlook.pst on your system anywhere?

I'm suspecting some kind of permissions problem.
