Hi abs_dear,
1. The prerequisite to install KB4012212 on Server 2008R2 is to upgrade Server 2008R2 to SP1:
https://catalog.update.microsoft.com/v7/site/Search.aspx?q=KB976932
2. If the server 2008R2 is SP1 and it still shows as not applicable, please check if the machine has installed the superseding updates of KB4012212, you may check the following article, all updates later than KB4012212 supersedes it(such as KB4012215, KB4012218 and etc.):
If you have installed any of the superseding updates, then we don't need to install KB4012212 any more.
Best Regards,

Dear,
Many thanks for the reply. The server is version is :
Windows Storage Server 2008 R2 Enterprise
There is no SP installed on the server, so we are also looking for SP details, however couldn't find it specially for Storage Edition, as it is IBM server.
We also tried to contact IBM, and they suggested to contact OS vendor, which is Microsoft.
Can someone suggest how can we proceed to obtain SP1 for the server?

Hi abs_dear,
As for how to upgrade Storage Server 2008R2 to SP1, you may refer to the following thread:
As far as I know, the SP1 for the storage server 2008r2 is the same with SP1 for standard, you may check if you can install the KB976932 on the storage server, if it isn't applicable, it will show up an error when installing.
Best Regards,
Anne
