error 0x8024200D during Windows 10 10240 update to 10586 with WSUS RRS feed

  • Question

  • Installationsfehler: Die Installation des folgenden Updates ist mit Fehler 0x8024200D fehlgeschlagen: Upgrade auf Windows 10 Enterprise, Version 1511, 10586 - de-de, Volume

stop Windows update Service, delete SoftwareDistribution - same Problem.

we have 3 Windows 10 clients and all have a problem. One is without Virusscanner. A horror for companies if every 4 months an update is required

  • Hi,

First of all, please describe your issue in English or ask in proper language forum.

Based on my understanding of your issue, please do this:

    1. Booted into safe mode (using MSCONFIG).
    2. Deleted the contents of C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download
    3. Turned off safe mode and booted into windows normally.
    4. Re-downloaded and attempted to install the update again.

If it doesn't resolve your issue, run the built-in Troubleshooter:

    Windows Update Troubleshooter

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/windows-update-troubleshooter

Furthermore, you could use the official Windows 10 Enterprise version 1511, build 10586 ISO from the volume center or MSDN subscription to perform the upgrade.

  • thanks karen form your answer,

we test the Windows 10 upgrade with WSUS. But I thinks we have less space on WSUS Server.

you can also stop Windows update Service than you can delete C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution
