    Hi Geeks,

    I am trying to understand the photo types in contact card and how to set them.

    I have noticed photo types in the log as 

    <photo type="exchange"

    <photo type="enterprise" 

    <photo type="others"

    <photo type="default"

    However, I m unable to understand where exactly they are fetched from and how to set them.

    Hi ,

    Could you post entire log to us?

    By my understand, it means where SFB(Lync) download picture. “Default” means SFB(Lync) client download the picture from AD, “Exchange” means it download from Exchange server.

    Hi there,

    actually I'm having a similar issue. Users have stored a HD photo in Exchange (uploaded as 648x648 JPG via OWA) and the photo is set correctly on the Exchange side. I could verify this via an EWS web request (https://ews.contoso.com/EWS/Exchange.asmx/s/GetUserPhoto?email=testuser@contoso.com&size=HR648x648).

    But the Skype for Business 2016 client of ALL users is only showing the low res photo from AD for a couple of contacts only. As said, this is for all clients. While for most of all other users the correct HD photo can been seen on their contact card.
    Looking at the Skype client uccapilog, I could identify the "photo type" as the only difference between working/non-working users (exchange vs. enterprise").
    So most likely this is teh reason of my problem.
    But here my question: can I / where do I change the value for "photo type" for a specific user?
