How to Administer Exchange Server 2003 from a Computer That Is Running Windows Vista RRS feed

  • Question

  • Does anyone know how to do this? I tried installing the old tools however the installer thinks that IIS snap in tool is not installed, when it in fact is. Are there new tools somewhere?

    Please help!

  • Between the elevated permissions to install the AD Admin tools and now Microsofts Stance on not supporting Exchange Admin on a Vista Machine. MS is really encouraging companies to upgrade

  • Having to use remote desktop from Vista (as Microsoft suggests) to administer a critical Microsoft application like Exchange adds no value!  You could just as easily use a linux desktop and VNC... It's madness.

  • What's the big deal?  Install Vista SP1 or 2.
