  • Hi Noman --

First be aware that views in Project Pro and independent of views in PWA. If you configure a custom view in Project Pro, there is no easy way to duplicate the exact same view in PWA.

Having said that, you must have Project Server administrative privileges to create or modify views for PWA. If you have those privileges, then you must do the following:

    1. Visit the 'Server Settings' area in PWA.
    2. Visit the 'Manage Views' area.
    3. Create a new view or select an existing view to modify.
    4. Select the fields that you want to display in the view, including the task name, % complete, and notes.
    5. Select the other options as necessary, including the correct security categories, then save.

When you view a project schedule in PWA, your view should appear in the 'View' pick list on the ribbon. Select your view, review the appearance of the view, and go back to the 'Server Settings' area to make adjustments as necessary.

    Good luck!

    Hi tz,

I have an administrative privileges on Project Server -

I have made a new view as per my need, required fields have been populated in PWA, but the main issue is: As the column of "% Complete" and "Notes" is placed in left panel - I want to show "% Complete" and "Notes" in Gantt Chart as well (as in the attached screenshot of MS Project).

    Thanks,

    Noman

  • Hi Noman --

Unfortunately, there is no easy way to add text information to the Gantt Charts in PWA.

    Good luck!
