  • Hi,

I have raised the same query to the Intel community and looks like the driver version needs to be updated to the latest version for the particular graphics hardware model, ( in my case it is Intel HD Graphics 630).

The issue is not seen at the moment after installing the latest drivers. Thanks

  • See if you can fix the problem by uninstalling and reinstalling the Intel GPU drivers.

IGFX or igdkmd are the Intel GPU drivers.

Open the website for the computer or motherboard manufacturer > support > enter the product or serial number or model > select the operating system > view drivers and BIOS > post a URL or hyperlink into the thread.

Identify the Intel GPU drivers and download them to the computer desktop.

Place the computer into safe mode:

Open device manager > expand display adapters

Uninstall the Intel GPU drivers > reinstall the new Intel GPU drivers from the desktop

  • I had a similar issue but with this variation.  When I signed into my Dell 9020, Win10 x64 Ent 1709 sitting in front of it, I had no issue.  If I RDP'd to it then I would get same error msg.  The current driver for my Intel 4600 HD Graphics was Ver 10.18.15.4281.  I downloaded and installed Ver 20.19.15.4835 and have not had an issue since. It's only been a couple of hours, but I have logged off and reconnected about 3-4 times to test.  I checked the driver details for each version in between my old driver and the new one but did not see any notations that addressed this specific issue so I cannot tell why it works other than it just does.

  • I used to have the same error. I have a Dell all-in-one that boots up and operates just fine but within a couple hours of being powered on, it will display the error message "igfxEM Module Has Stopped Working" with the usual offers to find a solution on the Internet or stop the process.  I Googled and found a solution here https://www.devicetricks.com/fix-igfxem-module-has-stopped-working/
