    Help i am having trouble installing vista on my PC its a

    2500Ghz P4,
    512Mb RAM
    Nvidia FX Graphics and Realtec AC'97 integrated Sound.

    When i try and run setup it gives me error 999 winsetup.dll could not load, and i just can figure it out.

    If i try starting setup from boot it says it cannot connect to a certain device but dunno which one.

    Any ideas anyone?

    Oh and its 32bit windows vista not 64

    So, you've tried it as an ungrade AND as fresh install?
    Although given that the error is that it cannot load a dll, it sounds as if something is corrupt.  I would either try using the checksum to make sure your iso is correct or just download the iso again and see if that fixes your problem.
