Forefront Client Security End of Mainstream Support Date RRS feed

  • Question

  • Good Morning,

I was just wondering when FCS leaves mainstream support?  I looked at http://support.microsoft.com/lifecycle/?p1=12632 but it just says "see note" and the note sends you here: http://support.microsoft.com/gp/osslpolicy which doesn't tell me anything either.  I heared a rumor that this was supposed to happen by the end of 2012, but I really need someone to explain this to me a bit better.

We are looking to upgrade to SCEP 2012, and providing EOL dates to the powers that be would help my case a lot.

  • Hi,

Contact Microsoft in your location to get a quick answer because you're right there is nothing in the link and go to SCEP 2012 as soon as possible cause it's awesome :) !!!

  • Hi,

I actually did that just after I posted above...  he sent me the links I listed above, and hasn't replied since.  By looking through the links, the only thing I can tell is that MS will announce EOL dates at least 12 months in advance.

  • Given that training for this is no longer available, we have got to be reaching the end of the line
