After restarting my computer I notcied that everything was taking ages to open whereas before everything was working fine. The message that eventually appears on the screen is "Search Indexer has closed" How do you correct this problem? I tried to open it manually but that didn't work. It would immediately close and the programs were working but so slowly that it wasn't worthwhile. Has anyone else had this problem. No new software or hardware was added. Any help would be appreciated.
This worked for me but not sure why. You can give it a try and then reboot the computer. Go to Control Panel, click on Classic View then to Indexing Options. Click on the Advanced button and then click on rebuild.
