Downloading picture about:blank error message RRS feed

  • Question

  • A page will not show an image, although it does show in Internet Explorer 64 bit version. On the same environment (Windows 2008 R2).

Message in the status bar is:

(1 item remaining) Downloading picture about:blank

The website is a trusted site.

Privacy report does show 2 sites as cookies being blocked

Example site in question is http://mobilehelp.virginmedia.com/device/Galaxy_S4/Virgin_Mobile/en

Both browsers use same GPO settings so very confused.

  • Hi,

tools>Internet Options>Advanced tab, uncheck "display notification about every script error"

Post consumer questions about IE to http://answers.microsoft.com (Help>Online Support menu from IE)... Include links to any websites you are having issues with your questions.... to avoid confusion include the full details of any error messages you receive (use the copy button on scripting error message dialogs).

Error messages that have "Message from Webpage" in the title area are messages generated by the website programmers.... on some websites you can find links to their support forums.
