Moving My documents Folder RRS feed

  • We are considerating to move the default location of all our users, curreb¿nlty the default location is c:\Files  but we want to move this location to the windows defalut, I mean C:\users\profile, The only impact I consider is maybe the Office files links. What do you think moving My documents folder will impact?”

  • Hi,

    You may take the following steps to restore a folder to its original location.

    1. Click the Start button , and then click your user name.

    2. Right-click the folder that you previously redirected and want to restore to its original location, and then click Properties.

    3. Click the Location tab, click Restore Default, and then click OK.

    4. Click Yes to recreate the original folder, and then click Yes again to move all the files back to the original folder.
