IE 11 JS Access denied ! Relentless error... RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello to you,

guys please tell what the hell is going on with this IE 11 error. There are many sites that I cannot use because of this. Looks like IE 11 security takes over. I tried almost everything , tried to enable cross domain, add to secure websites, enable scripting - NOTHING WORKS. The same sites have no problems in FF and Chrome or Edge. Here is an example , when I try to play this in full screen or click on it - just black screen.

The same goes with some forum windows, buttons. On click - there is no reaction at all. I know this is sth. connected to inbuilt security issue but I tried so many things.

So looking forward to hearing from you,

    thanks and Regards.

  • Hi,

do you mean "Scripting is disabled" not "JS Access denied"? please include the full error message details with your questions.

"The same goes with some forum windows, buttons. On click - there is no reaction at all. I know this is sth. connected to inbuilt security issue but I tried so many things. "

    - again, if you are not logged into some sites they will not let your post comments or other actions that require verification.

Tools>Internet Options>Security tab, click "reset all zones to default". Trusted sites icon, Sites button, home users should not place any public web sites in their Trusted sites lists.

Most public websites use cookies for login persistance..... Tools>Privacy tab, Settings button...if any of the sites that you are having problems with are listed in the 'allow cookies' list, remove them. For a higher level of security, block only thrid-party cookies.... this will however prevent sites from using your facebook or google or microsoft account for verification and single sign in.

If you are using a thrid-party AV product (eg. Nortons), reset its settings back to their defaults, or seek help from their support forums... IF you are using a free version or an out-of-date subscription you may have to uninstall it completely to remove any security features that it has applied.

    Regards.

  • Hello Rob ,

first of all thank you for the answer. The second of all - Rob I am not so silly to NOT log in first and posting about the problem ;) Do you really think I did not log in first ? So for some people who can get my message not really precise - one more time:

There is a long constant issue with IE JS DENIED problem. What I mean is this. On some sites IE does not allow you to see contect that is JASON or AJAX with JS Scripting. When you're logged in to Facebook and would like to paste a link , no thumbnail will Show up. When sometimes on some pages you try to invoke a Reply JS window , it will not Close or ist Buttons will not work. When you would like to see some 360 Video Content - nothing will Show up. OF COURSE I was trying to Change the secutity BUT IE does not allow you to slide the button down to "LOW" so I enabled almost anything in Advanced Security field , still no solution. On These pages when you invoke Developer console it say "JS ACCESS DENIED" BUT only on some pages. I do not have any ANTIVIRUS and I only use Windows Defender. Some People suggested here that it is an internal issue with Group policy and registry that disables some functionality in IE. Try with IE 11 to log in to Facebook and see this Content, you will only see black Screen instead of 360 photos like in FF or Chrome:

Of Course log in first ! ;)

    Regards, Thank you.

    Hello to you,

In addition to the Win8.1 black screen shown in the first group, here are screenshots of the black screen bug with IE11 using Win10, Win7, Server 2008R2 (fresh install fully updated).

So.  I think IECustomizer and Carl Fan didn't bother testing this and just want to pass-off a quick generic answer.  Unfortunately, it wastes everybody's time, starting with the OP, and everybody else who views this thread.  Anyway, as far as I can tell, this compatibility issue / bug exists in every IE11 platform.

If you were looking for confirmation of the bug, IE 11 Lover, then you can mark this reply "answer".

Exactly, thank you. So we are waiting for the fix....it's been a Long time to fix this issue.
