Folder Options> View> Restore Previous Folder Windows At Logon ...Not Working Right RRS feed

  • Question

  • Windows 7 Ultimate (all builds so far)

    Navagate to:
Control Panel> Folder Options> View> Restore Previous Folder Windows At Logon

If you checkmark this option, I've found on every build of Windows 7 I've tested so far, if you had any folder(s) open during your previous shutdown, when you startup again, the folder(s) won't open right away and Explorer will hang Everything else unresponsive for five minutes while it tries to accommodate that option to open the folder(s).

If you uncheck that option, then once again everything works fine again.

    Confirmed bug report to fix

  • Hi Lemurian

You are describing an option that does not exist in the RC Build 7100 version of Windows 7.

If you are using a build later than 7100, please understand that these leaked builds are not supported or discussed on these forums.

Please see the following thread for a more detailed description of this policy and more information on the leaked builds.
