Updating manually offline server 2008 r2?

Hi, I have a 2008 R2 server that is offline, no internet access, and I need to get the windows updates installed on it some way. I tried using another server to download the updates and copied the SoftwareDistribution folder contents over to the offline server hoping it would see updates downloaded but it didn't seem to work.

I need a way to update using a file copy to a ISO file or a bootable ISO or something like that.

Microsoft must have a way to do this I would presume ?

Any ideas ?

If you have several machines, consider WSUS. There is good information available for managing a "disconnected" WSUS.

some suggestions (if you have a single server):

Security Updates available as an ISO: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/913086

MBSA (which has an offline mode): http://blogs.technet.com/b/security/archive/2012/10/22/microsoft-free-security-tools-microsoft-baseline-security-analyzer.aspx

Note that these two methods, only cater for Security Updates, and not for non-security updates.
