refresh query after upload to Power BI gives error RRS feed

  • I uploaded a query to power bi that uses Web.Contents and ApiKeyName

    When refreshing on service, I assumed that it would ask me again for they key. Instead I get the error:

    Oops, something went wrong
    An error ocurred while processing the data in the dataset
    The provider 'Microsoft.PowerBI.OleDb' is not registered. The following system error occurred:  Class not registered  A connection could not be made to the data source with the Name of 'Query1 8614f6d9-3993-46a5-9337-173b832149ff'.

  • I determined that Power BI doesn't support ApiKeyName. I switched to basic auth and I think refresh is working now.

    Let me ask few questions that'll help me resolve your refresh issue.

    Are you using Power BI for O365? Is this a PowerPivot workbook?

    If it is a Power BI for O365 workbook, Power Pivot workbooks with web data source is not supported in PBI for O365.
