Internet Explorer 11 Shows " Unable to connect to the site" intermittently after patching done for period Nov 2016 to May 2017? Are there any known issues in any month's patches? RRS feed

  • We have recently deployed patches from Nov 2016 to May 2017 in out environment.

    After these updates, the internet explorer 11 starts working weirdly.

    It is intermittently not able to connect to the internet. All the intranet sites are connecting fine.

    Has anyone faced similar issue?

    A solution would be much appreciated.

    Did the issue only occur on IE11? How about other browsers such as Chrome or Firefox?

    Please go to Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Troubleshooting\Programs, then run Internet Explorer Performance Troubleshooter, if it doesn't solve this issue, then view its diagnostic report.

    Maybe IE add-ons can occur this problem, make sure you have disabled all add-ons to find the culprit, Tools\Manage add-ons.

    Sometimes, a third-party service or program is conflicting with Internet Explorer which can cause this issue, you can boot your PC to clean boot mode, if this issue disappear in this mode, then we can narrow down to find the culprit.

    Check your Proxy settings in Internet Options, you can find guide in the following link

    Another choice is restore point, you can return your system to a previous state at which IE is function fine.
