Can you change the permissions on a single html file in the root of a MOSS 2007 site? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I know what the right answer is, the correct way to implement this is to create a library off the root and place the file that needs to have unique permissions into this library and either change the permissions of the library or of the individual file itself.  Anyways, that's what we're going to do...

However, I'm curious...  Is there a way to change the permissions of a file that was manually placed in the root of a MOSS 2007 site?  I've tried through the GUI and through Designer, and also searched the WWW with no luck.  Is this even doable?  We don't want to change the permissions on the entire site, just that one file.

    Thanks,

    -Richard.
