Secured Wireless Network - Out of Range Error RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a Windows XP machine that when I use zero configuration utility to connect to a secure network, I get the error that the network may be out of range, even though it's not. If I disable wireless encryption, I am able to connect, but when encryption is enabled I get the out of range error. If I use the 3rd party wireless utility, I am able to connect with both encryption enabled and disabled

I have seen this issue on XP machines over the years but have never been able to fix it without wiping the system. Reinstalling drivers are repairing the zero configuration service does not fix the issue.

    Any ideas?
