cant start up my laptop, with black screen RRS feed

  • Hi, i have a asus s500 laptop. this morning, i found that my microsoft office cant be used (it doesnt work, i cant open any word doc or ppt), so i uninstalled it. after uninstalled, the system asked to reboot my laptop, then i clicked "ok". then, my laptop cant be started up, just a blank black screen with a cursor. i hv no idea how to fix it. please guide me to fix it. tq

  • 1. Ask ASUS support/forum for help. It may be model specific problem.

    2. Do you have full license of Office?

    3. Have you activated your operating system

    4. Try to start computer in Safe Mode and/or try LastKnown Good....

    5. Try to start your computer from Live DVD (Linux) to exclude problem with HDD.

    You can also try method 4,5,6 in following article to boot into Advanced menu, and use Startup repair tool to check your issue:

  • restart system and tap F8 from recovery menu goto safe mode, in the safe mode goto system restore from the system restore restore your PC to last worked instance hav fun :D
