Is there a way to automate the disabling of write behind caching on Windows XP SP3 PC? RRS feed

  • Question

  •      Good afternoon.  I am looking for a way to disable write caching on disk on Windows XP SP3 PCs without having to manually go to each box and do it.  I did search the web and this forum first before asking but did not find anything to automate the process.  Any help would be appreciated.

  • In the control panel, use the "system" tab, then the advanced tab, then the performance tab, to set this option. Alternatively, you can right click on the drive icon, choose properties, choose advanced, then performance to set this also.
