sccm 2007- sccm2012 side by side migration question RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have a client who is planning on doing a SCCM 2007 - SCCM 2012R2 migration following the side by side migration plan recommended by Microsoft.  The existing site is quite large with over 19 primary servers, 2000 applications and 130, 000 users.  The new hierarchy has been created and is being hosted at a different location than the existing SCCM 2007 hierarchy.  Both Datacentres are connected with a 1GB/s MPLS connection with latency of 20ms.  Has anyone experience issues doing the migration jobs if the new hierarchy is at a different location?  I have carried tests on file copying, dumping image files and I haven't experienced any issues.

    Thanks

    Billy

    It should work then.

  • Torsten / Jason,

Apologies for my late reply as I was on a family vacation, thanks for reply to my question, and confirming what I thought.
