Key Index (Advanced) Greyed out when selecting WPA-PSK with TKIP encryption RRS feed

  • Question

  • Can anyone help me with this.  I'm trying to add my D600 with XP SP/3 to my wireless network.  I'm currently running an encryption of WPA-PSK (TKIP) on my router and have several other XP and 7 systems setup on it.  I just can't get this one added because when I create the wireless network connection and select the WPA-PSK with TKIP encryption the Key Index (Advanced) is set a 1 and is greyed out.  I need to be able to change that to match what my router is currently set at.  Thanks for your help.

  • I just did a fresh reinstall of windows xp with 2 different cds and I still have the same problem.  However, I changed the network channel in my router to 1 and the laptop still wasn't able to connect.  It just says waiting for network and then disappears and never connects.  I have updated the driver to the latest version from Intel and came up with the same results.

    Any ideas?????
