Copy, Move, Delete, Rename files and Create Folder hangs, then Explorer stops responding RRS feed

    Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit: Problem started about a week ago: working in Windows Explorer: Copy, Move, Delete, Rename file functions, as well as Create New Folder hangs.  Attempts to cancel just hang. Have to use Task Manager to End because "Explorer is not responding".  What is causing this?
