Bug with Word 2010 styles RRS feed

  • Question

  • Because InDesign has problems with Widow/Orphan Control when importing from Word 2010 to InDesign, we need to make sure that in our style definitions, Widow/Orphan control is not selected. When we went through our style definitions in final checks of a long and involved book file, and unchecked Widow/Orphan Control for a style that was named Block Quote + Italic, based on the Block Quote style, Word changed the Style Name to 'Style Block Quote + Italic', and made whole paragraphs italic when only certain words should have been italic.

I did a Print Screen showing the style in the style pane named Block Quote + Italic, while the style in the Modify Style window had the name to Style Block Quote + Italic. But there doesn't seem to be an option to add a Print Screen.
