  • Hi John--

Administrative tasks are not going for approval to the project manager because the current setup as per the screen shot, is auto approved. Please see below article:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg982965.aspx
You can modify from PWA> Server settings> Administrative Time> Click on Approve column's row for Yes/No & change to save it.
When you create a timesheet, based on the configuration of Administrative, these task will be added to Timesheet.

This information can be pulled out from Reporting database table -
[MSP_TimesheetLine_UserView] & the column [TimesheetLineClass]/[TimesheetLineClassType] will show the Administrative time for each period with Timesheet UID/Resource UID & name.

    Hope that helps.

  • Hi John--

If your Administrative task requires approval (No auto approve), It will be approved by Timesheet manager. On PWA home page reminder, timesheet manager can see "You have XX administrative time-off requests from resources pending your approval." provided that team member is not the Timesheet manager

    Please see technet:

    HTH.

  • This article is of Project Server 2003.

I make my timesheet manager another person.

and enter hours in administrative time task "Support" and select it and send .

But task is not appearing in his Approval section.

  • This article is PS2007 which is good with PS2010 since timesheet feature was introduced in PS2007.  Sorry about the confusion, The Approve means "requires prior approval" before the Timesheet Manager can approve the full Timesheet for each resource.  So, if your have set the Approve value to Yes (As per the screenshot) for Administrative time categories like Administrative and Sick time, then this means the Timesheet Manager must approve the time for each of these Administrative time categories before he/she is finally allowed to approve the entire Timesheet for each resource.  He/She should be having the reminder on Homepage of PWA .

  • We are using 'Single Entry Mode'.

    First Scenario :

    ----------------

and I set 'approve = Yes' in Administrative time . and set the timesheet manager of other person.

Submit administrative task to Timesheet manager . but Administrative task is not reach at TimeSheet Manager.

    2nd Scenario :

    ----------------

I set 'approve = No' in Administrative time .

and set the timesheet manager of other person. submit administrative task to Timesheet manager . but Administrative task is not reach at TimeSheet Manager TimeSheet Manager.

Although I read both thread. nothing any lack with my server in settings. which is mention in thread.

Me and timesheet manager both are Administrator and in my organization category.
