Search function not working in Outlook

    Thank you for the feedback. Could you provide the build number of the Outlook program you are using?

    Recently, there is a known issue in Build 7870.2020 and later version. We are investigating it. We'll update this thread if there is any progress.

  • I am using Outlook of Office 365. The indexing appears to be OK. No error message when I try to re-index. All other functions working properly except the search function... therefore the pst file does not appear to be corrupted too.  

    Really need Microsoft to look into this as it is really not productive without the search function working!

  • I'm having the same problem - reindexed multiple times, scanned the PST for errors multiple times...still isn't working!

  • Same, started today with the latest update (7870.2024). Please fix soon, as it is a function I easily use once every 15 minutes normally and not being able to find emails makes working almost impossible. Early friday afternoon it seems..

  • Hi All,

    We released a new build (Build 7870.2031) on March 27, 2017 for Current Channel, which should have fixed the search issue in POP3 account and PST file. Please have a try with it and let us know the result at your most convenient time.
