New Domain Controller RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

The network has a new domain controller.  Because all the SP application pools run under NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE there does not seem to be much of a problem.  The only difficulty is I cannot get to User Profiles and Properties under Shared Services.  I am guessing it cannot connect to the DB.  What steps do I need to take? Should not the dbo be NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE? I cannot get to ssp/admin/_layouts/ProfMain.aspx

Answers

  • What happened with the old domain controller? Is your SharePoint server(s) members of this domain?

    SharePoint 2007 or 2010? i'm guessing 2007...

    Check the logs?

Recommend setting all service accounts to use an AD account, SharePoint is happier that way.

  • The old DC gives the blue screen of death.  SP 2007.  I have not checked the logs - will do that.

  • Any luck on the logs?

Is this SharePoint 2007 or 2010?

You may need to reinstall SQL under your new domain account.
