    We are planning BranchCache configuration where the content servers are going to be NetApp filers (Vservers). Some branch offices will be set up in hosted cache mode with BranchCache servers (Windows 2012) while other offices will be set up with distributed cache mode (Windows 8.1). There will be two content servers in two separate data centres which will serve different content. Is it possible to use the same server secret on both NetApp filers or should the server secret be different since the content being served by each filer is not identical?

    Hi,

    "Server secret" seems to be a settings specific on NetApp filer so you could also try to contact NetApp for further information.

    I searched on NetApp website and BrachCache is supported in newer versions. So they should help an instruction about "how to setup".
