  • i recently switched from windows xp to windows 7. When i shut down my computer with xp it always said saving your personal settings.  now with windows 7 it dows not save my setting and I have to reset my settings every time  i turn the computer on.  what is the answer to save them.?  Thank you

  • This issue is typically seen with Domain computers or roaming profiles. Just to confirm you are not on a domain or using roaming profiles?

    Did you upgrade for Windows XP to Windows 7?

    Can you create a new user account, login with the new account change some settings, reboot the computer and login again and tell me if the settings are saved or not?
