Asp.net website behaves differently in IE after deployment RRS feed

  • Question

  • My website looks fine when i run in localhost, but when i deployed it behaves weired.. ie when i check in f12 developer tools, the document mode is set to IE7 standards Mode. And when i change the document mode to IE 9 standards mode the website looks fine.

Correct me if im wrong by default it should go to Quircks mode if Compatibility settings were not set,but why it goes to IE7 standards after deployment(that is when tested with deployed url)

Please let me know how can i fix this issue and why this behaves differently after deployment even the browser is same..

I tried by adding httpresponse header as below for the website in IIS.

    X-UA-Compatible: IE=Edge

Still the above try didnt resolve my issue .please help...

As this issue come backs to dev from test after each release

  • Hi,

File>Properties will tell you which security zone its running in.... you may have "Display intranet sites in compatibility mode"

    selected.
