    Hallo

    Is there a way as admin to disable the "empty deleted items folder" option in Outlook 2010, so that users cannot empty the deleted items folder?

    Hi,

    By 'Empty Deleted Items Folder' option, do you mean the button available on Quick Access Toolbar?

    If this is the case, you can use the 1671 control ID with the Outlook Group Policy settings to achieve the goal.

    In addition, we may also consider to use the 18734 control ID to disable the 'Empty Folder' menu when right clicking the Deleted Items folder.

    Hello Ulf,

    let's assume you have found a method to disable the "empty deleted items folder" option.

    But how can you prevent people to use hard delete (Shift+Delete)? A message that has been hard deleted just disappears and not moved to the Deleted items folder.
