Client will not install on Windows 10 machines RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am currently switching my enterprise environment from Windows 7 to Windows 10 (1607) and cannot get the SCCM client to install on my systems.

First question that I have not been able to find a concrete answer on: Is Windows 10 v1607 even supported in SCCM 2012 R2?? Or am I forced to try moving over to the SCCM current branch?

Where I came up with this issue is when installing the ccmsetup.exe, nothing happens. There is no failure or success dialog box. It just opens an install wizard for about a second and then disappears. I ran it through cmd as ccmsetup.exe /skipprereq:windowsipdateagent30-x64.exe and had the same thing happen.

Anyone know what issue I am running into or if I am just too far out of date?
