Upload speed 2010 DPM client RRS feed

  • Question

  • Many of our laptops have the DPM 2010 client installed to backup their data. This is done via DirectAccess and utilizes their internet connection.

When the maximum upload speed is used it impacts the download speed (ADSL)

Is it possible to configure a maximum upload speed for the DPM client?

  • What Parag means is bandwidth throttling done in the DPM Server console:

To enable computer-level network bandwidth usage throttling

    1. In DPM Administrator Console, click Management on the navigation bar.

    2. Click the Agent tab, and select the computer you want to throttle.

    3. In the Actions pane, click Throttle computer.

    4. In the Throttle dialog box, check Enable network bandwidth usage throttling.

    5. Select Throttle Settings and Work Schedule for the computer

    6. To apply your settings, click OK.
