     I have windows 2012 r2. We are using WSUS to push out updates (non domain).

    I have several computers that I have removed from WSUS, that re-appear on the WSUS server a few hrs later.. but have no status.

    I have tried stopping the wuauserv and running

    wuauclt.exe /resetauthorization

    wuauclt.exe /detectnow 
    wuauclt.exe /reportnow    

    This does not make the PC report a status.

    I have also tried resetting the SUSClientID. This also does not make the PC's report a correct status.

    The computers are getting updates through the WSUS server - which is good!

    Any help would be great. Thanks

    so you removed them but you want them to now stay in WSUS or is your goal to have them removed permanently?

    I think it's best for all the endpoints having this issue to delete the following registry keys under the WindowsUpdate key:

    PingID

    AccountDomainSid

    SusClientId

    SusClientIDValidation

    restart the windows update service and wait for a bit
