IE8 and a non-responding tab RRS feed

  • Question

  • In the last few days, I've noticed that if if I have some tabs already open and click on a link in one of those tabs, that IR8 will take a while to try to open a tab but never fully does. The tab title alwys says "Connecting..." and is not active. Clicking on the tab doesn't switch to it, like it really doesn't exist.

I"m wondering if this is a known issue or not and how I can fix it if at all?

  • Please reset IE settings to default with the following steps.

    1. Click Start, please type “inetcpl.cpl” (without quotation marks) in the Start Search bar and press Enter to open the Internet options window.
    2. Switch to the Advanced tab.
    3. Click the "Reset Internet Explorer Settings" button.
    4. Click Reset to confirm the operation.
    5. Click Close when the resetting process has finished.
    6. Uncheck the "Enable third-party browser extensions" option in the Settings box.
    7. Click Apply, click OK.

If the issue persists, please let us know if it occurs whenever you open a link in a new tab, or it occurs randomly.
