Progress Line Problem RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All

I know Progress Lines are not everyones cup of tea on this forum but I'm forced to use them by the client so please take pity on me...

Usually when a task is marked as 100% complete, the progress line runs vertically along the progress date. However, occaisionally although the task is shown as 100% complete the progress line zips back to the end of the task. This is very frustrating and I can see nothing different about these tasks to others where it does not happen.

Any ideas why this should  happen ???

    Cheers

  • If a project is properly updated - no incomplete work in the past and no completed work in the future then the progress line should be roughly on the status date. If you're not updating accurately then be very careful how you track real progress because Progress lines don't really help at all, especially when it comes to evaluating resource hours per week required for the next few weeks.
